Thanks to a new partnership with Viasit, an internationally recognized German office furniture company, Zafferano will have an exhibition space in Clerkenwell, London’s design district, from May 2024.Some of Zafferano’s lighting products will be displayed in a space located on the fourth floor of the building at 1-5 Clerkenwell Road. The showroom will open on May 21-23, 2024, during the annual Clerkenwell Design Week, UK’s premier design festival.Clerkenwell, the historic neighborhood where Dickens set his novel “Oliver Twist”, a hinge between Holborn and Shoreditch, was home to many factories in the 1800s, mostly newspaper-printing presses. These industrial buildings, characterized by large “open space” rooms and large windows, were converted into lofts in the late 1900s: today they house London’s leading architectural firms and many high-end designer furniture showrooms. Clerkenwell is also known for being “London’s Little Italy” during the Industrial Revolution: the oldest Italian delicatessen in the UK, Terroni & Sons, opened here in 1878 and is still active today.Zafferano thus lands at the iconic site of British design and at the most opportune time, given the visibility of the three-day London event and the concomitance of the recent launch of the new 2024 models of rechargeable and non-rechargeable lamps.
