Description of the initiative and information for Consumers
The initiative is the online sale of goods to customers of Zafferano Srl.
The offer and sale of products via the website http://www.zafferanoeshop.it/ are governed by the following General Conditions of Sale. The General Conditions of Sale have been drawn up in compliance with regulations regarding contracts concluded off-commercial premises and, in particular, with the provisions of Legislative Decree no. 206 of 6 September 2005 (Consumer Code).
Parties to the Contract
The Parties to the contract are as follows: - Zafferano Srl, (Viale dell’Industria, 26 - 31055 Quinto di Treviso, TV Italy) - the Customer: the person (natural person or other person acting for purposes that do not involve any business activities) who, identified through the website http://www.zafferanoeshop.it/, has placed an order that has been accepted by Zafferano Srl.
Acceptance of the General Conditions of Sale
1. By placing an order under the prescribed terms, the Customer is confirming that he/she has read all the information provided during the purchase process and fully accepts the General Conditions of Sale. Zafferano Srl reserves the right to change the General Conditions of Sale by giving notice of this on this page of the website. The applicable General Conditions of Sale are those in force at the time the order is placed. Any changes shall be valid once they have been published on the website.
2. On completing the online purchase procedure, the Customer is advised to print or save an electronic copy and, in any case, retain these General Conditions of Sale in compliance with the provisions of Article 50 of Legislative Decree no. 206/2005, and subsequent amendments, concerning online sales.
Methods of Purchase
3. When the order is placed, the Customer may only purchase products in the e-catalogue, which can be viewed online at the address (URL) http://www.zafferanoeshop.it/, as described in the related information sheets. It must be clearly understood that the image accompanying a description of a product may not be a perfect representation of its characteristics and the actual product may differ in colour, dimensions and features.
All information supporting a purchase is purely general in nature and does not refer to the actual characteristics of an individual product.
4. Products are offered for sale at the price specified on the website on the date on which the order is placed. Prices include VAT, which will be specified in detail in the order confirmation issued for the purchase of the product.
5. The steps for placing an order and concluding the purchase contract are clearly outlined in a series of pages on the website, with text and explanatory graphics. We recommend that you read the information concerning withdrawal, which can be saved and printed at any time. Before submitting an order, you will be given the opportunity to correct any errors made when entering data.
6. Receipt of the order will be confirmed by Zafferano Srl via an email sent to the address provided by the Customer. This confirmation message shall display the Date and the Time the order was executed and a 'Customer Order Number’, to be used in any further communication with Zafferano Srl. The message will include all the data entered by the customer, who undertakes to verify their correctness and promptly communicate any necessary amendments, according to the procedures described in this document.
7. If, for any reason, the order is not accepted, Zafferano Srl guarantees that it shall promptly inform the Customer.

Withdrawal, Warranties and Complaints
Right of Withdrawal
8. Under current EU legislation, if the Customer is a consumer (i.e. a natural person who buys goods for purposes not related to his/her professional occupation), he/she shall have the right to withdraw from the purchase contract for any reason, without being required to give an explanation and without any penalty. An exception shall be made in the case of types of products for which this is explicitly excluded and without prejudice to what is stated in paragraph 18 below.
9. The right of withdrawal can be exercised within 14 working days of receipt of the product in the following ways:

II) Customer Service shall contact the Customer and send them an email with the Return Authorisation Number (RAN).
III) The Customer shall indicate the RAN number on the return form that was received with the delivery documents.
The product must be returned within 10 working days from the date of receipt of the RAN. The refund of the price paid for the purchase of the product shall not include shipping costs, which shall be borne entirely by the Customer who intends to withdraw from the purchase.
IMPORTANT: no returned goods shall be accepted unless authorisation has been given for their return by Zafferano Srl.
10. The right of withdrawal shall be subject to the following conditions:
- The right of withdrawal applies to the product purchased in its entirety; withdrawal is not possible for only part of the purchased product (e.g. components, accessories, etc.);
- the purchased product must be intact and returned in its original packaging, with all its parts (including packaging and any documents and accessories, manuals, etc.). To limit any damage to the original packaging, we recommend placing the item in an additional box, where possible, to which the label bearing the RAN (Return Authorisation Number) must be affixed. In any case, labels or adhesive tape should not be affixed directly to the original packaging of the product;
- in accordance with the law, the shipping costs for the return of the goods shall be borne by the Customer;
- the Customer is entirely liable for the goods shipped until he/she receives acknowledgement of receipt from our warehouse;
- in the event of damage to the goods during transport, Zafferano Srl will give notice of this to the Customer (within 5 working days of receipt of the goods at its warehouses), so that the Customer can promptly lodge a complaint against the chosen courier in order to obtain a refund of the value of the goods (if insured). In this case, the product shall be made available to the Customer for its return while cancelling the request for withdrawal;
- Zafferano Srl shall not be held liable in any way for damage to or the theft/loss of goods returned in uninsured shipments;
- on return, the product shall be examined to assess any damage or tampering not arising from the transportation. If the box and/or the original packaging are damaged, Zafferano Srl shall retain a percentage of the refund due, not exceeding 10% of that refund, as a contribution towards the costs of recovery.
11. Apart from any repair costs for damage caused to the original packaging, Zafferano Srl shall refund the Customer for the full amount paid, within 30 days of receipt of the returned goods, by refunding the amount charged to the Customer’s Credit Card or by Bank Transfer. In the latter case, the Customer shall be responsible for promptly providing his/her bank details in order to obtain the refund (IBAN code of the current account of the holder of the order confirmation).
12. This right shall be forfeited entirely if the integrity of the goods (intact packaging and/or contents) has been compromised, should Zafferano Srl ascertain:
- whether the external packaging and/or the original internal packaging are missing;
- whether the vital parts of the product (accessories, components, manuals, etc.) are missing;
- whether damage has been caused to the product for reasons other than transport.
In the event of forfeiture of the right of withdrawal, Zafferano Srl shall give notice of this by registered letter with return receipt; the product shall remain at the Customer's disposal for a period of 30 (thirty) days from the date the registered letter was sent. After this date, the product will be eliminated without further notice.
Warranties
Any apparent imperfections, such as blistering, are because the work was done by hand so that each product is unique. They are distinctive features that attest to the quality and exclusivity of the product. Since the product is handmade, the weight, height and capacity of each individual piece may vary.
13. All products sold by Zafferano Srl are covered by a 24-month warranty for defects of conformity. In order to benefit from assistance under warranty, the Customer must retain the delivery note attached to the goods or the sales document that will be sent to the Customer's e-mail address.
14. The 24-month warranty applies to products with a defect of conformity, provided that the product is used correctly, in compliance with its intended use and with the provisions of the attached technical documents. This warranty is reserved for the private Consumer (a natural person who purchases goods for purposes not related to his/her professional occupation). In the event of a defect of conformity, Zafferano Srl shall restore product conformity by replacing it or by terminating the contract, without any charge to the Customer.
15. In the event of DOA (Defective On Arrival: the product is not working/ was broken on delivery), the manufacturer shall replace the product or refund the entire amount, depending on product availability. The time required for product replacement or repair shall depend entirely upon the manufacturer's policies. In order to obtain a product replacement or a refund, the Customer must send us notification by e-mail, no later than 8 calendar days from the delivery of the product, to the address: info@zafferanoeshop.it or by letter to Viale Dell'Industria, 26, 31055 Quinto di Treviso (TV) - Italy. This declaration must describe the problem, detail the type of damage, the condition of the packaging and the order number (highlighted on the shipping bill). A photo of the damage must be added to the declaration and all the packaging (internal and external) in which the product was received must be retained. If notification is not received by the deadline and in the manner described above, Zafferano Srl shall have the right not to proceed with a refund or replacement.
16. If, for any reason, Zafferano is unable to provide a Customer with a product under warranty (restored or replaced), Zafferano Srl will, at its own discretion, refund the entire amount paid or its replacement with a product of equal or superior characteristics.
17. Zafferano Srl shall not be liable for any damage arising from delays in replacing products.
18. Where the application of warranties involves product replacement, the goods must be returned by the Customer in their original packaging, with all their parts (including packaging and any documents and additional items: manuals, accessories etc.). To limit any damage to the original packaging, we recommend placing the item inside an additional box, where possible. In any event, labels or adhesive tape should not be affixed directly to the original packaging of the product.

Applicable Law
21. This sales agreement between the Customer and Zafferano Srl is concluded in Italy and governed by Italian law. If the Customer is a consumer, the court in the municipality where the Customer resides shall have territorial jurisdiction in any civil or criminal disputes arising from the termination of this online sales contract. In all other cases, the Court of Treviso shall have exclusive territorial jurisdiction.
Credit card
The payment system currently accepts the following credit cards: Mastercard, Visa and Maestro, and all other credit cards accepted by the Nexi circuit. If purchased goods are paid for with a Credit Card, the Nexi circuit will charge the amount once the online transaction has been concluded .
PayPal
On selecting this option, the purchaser shall be redirected to the PayPal website to conclude the transaction. Once the order has been placed, PayPal will immediately charge the amount to the customer's account. For further information, go to the PayPal website.
Advance Bank Transfer
If payment is made by Advance Bank Transfer, the ordered goods shall only be dispatched once the amount due has been credited to the account of Zafferano Srl.
